John Maxwell's Put Your Dreams to the Test

Everyone in your organisation has a dream – what’s important to them, what they hope to achieve and what success means to them. A genuine dream is a picture and blueprint of a person’s purpose and potential – and one that is anchored in the realities of the organisation. The question then is do people look forward to coming to work everyday because it helps them to fulfil their dream? It is only when our dream is aligned with our organisation’s objectives that we can truly begin to feel engaged with our work and the people around us.

This program is based on the bestselling book of the same name by John Maxwell. Participants start by examining what success means to them. They then learn to put what they desire to achieve to the “Dream Test”, i.e. 10 questions to see their dreams clearly and seize it:

  • The Ownership Question: Is My Dream Really My Dream?

  • The Clarity Question: Do I Clearly See My Dream?

  • The Reality Question: Am I Depending on Factors Within My Control to Achieve My Dream?

  • The Passion Question: Does My Dream Compel Me to Follow It?

  • The Pathway Question: Do I Have a Strategy to Reach My Dream?

  • The People Question: Have I Included the People I Need to Realise My Dream?

  • The Cost Question: Am I Willing to Pay the Price for My Dream?

  • The Tenacity Question: Am I Moving Closer to My Dream?

  • The Fulfillment Question: Does Working Toward My Dream Bring Satisfaction?

  • The Significance Question: How does My Dream benefit my Organization and Others?

Participants will become empowered with a personal mission statement that is relevant and achievable. Equally important, their personal mission (or dream) becomes closely aligned to the goals and realities of their organization resulting in win-win for all.
