Lim Poh Guan

For the past 20 years, Poh Guan has worked with companies across Asia-Pacific to implement leadership development, talent management and change acceleration programs. Some of the more memorable projects that he has led include:

  • A leadership development program for all senior leaders in a government organisation
  • An executive coaching program for the senior management team of a global logistics company
  • A competency modelling project for the military
  • A 360-degree feedback program for sales managers of a global pharmaceutical company
  • A leadership development centre for a regional bank
  • A change management program to support a bank following a merger

In addition to his consulting experience, Poh Guan has served as Senior Vice President of Talent & Organisation Development at the United Overseas Bank.

Poh Guan is certified to use a number of leadership assessment psychometric instruments including the Centre for Creative Leadership’s Benchmarks® and SKILLSCOPE® 360 Assessments, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO-B) assessment, the SHL suite of assessments, Gallup’s StrengthsFinder and the Hogan Assessments.  Poh Guan is also a founding partner of the John Maxwell Team.

Poh Guan graduated with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree, both in Mechanical Engineering, from the National University of Singapore and Brown University respectively.  He also has an MBA from the Nanyang Business School.  He currently sits on the HR Council of the Nanyang MBA program.
